Salford, England is his hometown. He trains at Team Kaobon, started through his father and trained seriously in his early teens, turned pro in 2014, and holds a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
He was a two-time British amateur champion and reported a 6-0 amateur record, and he earned personal training qualifications and worked as a personal trainer before he fought.
The UFC lists 15-3-0, with 12 knockouts and three submissions, a heel hook, a rear-naked choke, and an armbar. He has finished every win, 14 of them in the first round, 12 of them in 1:35 or less, and five of them in under a minute, the shortest at nine seconds, and he has won 11 of his last 13. This page lists the bouts in the UFC history.
Aspinall measures a 44-inch (112 cm) leg reach. The UFC lists the Octagon debut as March 21, 2020, and the history starts with Jake Collier on July 25, 2020.
He stopped Sergei Pavlovich with strikes at 1:09 of the first round at UFC 295 on November 11, 2023, and won the interim heavyweight title, stopped Curtis Blaydes with strikes at 1:00 of the first round at UFC 304 on July 27, 2024, and retained that interim title, and the UFC elevated him to undisputed champion in June 2025.
The no contest against Ciryl Gane at UFC 321 came from an accidental eye poke at 4:35 of the first round, and the history says Aspinall retained the heavyweight title. The rankings list Ciryl Gane as heavyweight champion and Aspinall at No. 1.
