Ciryl Gane defends the UFC heavyweight title against Josh Hokit on Saturday, November 14, at Madison Square Garden in New York. The fight is the main event of UFC 334. It is five rounds, and heavyweight is 265 pounds (120 kg).
Gane is 14-2-0, with one no contest, and he stopped Alex Pereira with strikes at 1:27 of the second round at UFC Freedom 250 on June 14 and won the interim title. Tom Aspinall vacated the undisputed belt on September 14, and Gane was promoted, so this is the first defense. The UFC announced the card on the UFC 331 broadcast. Aspinall is still recovering from an eye poke against Gane at UFC 321, he reinjured the right eye in training for the rematch and is waiting on clearance, and in a statement on Monday he said he did not want to hold the division up.
Hokit is 28 and 10-0, and 4-0 in the UFC, and the UFC lists Hokit at No. 4. Hokit stopped Derrick Lewis with punches at 4:09 of the second round on June 14, his fourth UFC win since November 2025, and he beat Curtis Blaydes by unanimous decision at 5:00 of the third round at UFC 327 on April 11. Dana White’s Contender Series awarded the contract in August 2025. Four of the wins paid a performance bonus, and Hokit earned Performance of the Night and Fight of the Night against Curtis Blaydes at UFC 327.
The co-main
Kayla Harrison defends the women’s bantamweight title against Amanda Nunes. Harrison is 19-1, this is the first defense, and Harrison is a two-time Olympic gold medalist. Nunes is a former two-division champion and is 23-5-0, she retired in June 2023, and the fight is her first in more than three years. She has beaten every woman who held this belt except Harrison.
Harrison won the belt with a kimura of Julianna Peña at 4:55 of the second round at UFC 316 on June 7, 2025, and Nunes beat Irene Aldana by unanimous decision at 5:00 of the fifth round at UFC 289 on June 10, 2023. The two had been booked for UFC 324, and Harrison withdrew and had surgery. Harrison submitted Holly Holm at UFC 300 in her UFC debut and beat Ketlen Vieira six months later, and the faceoff with Nunes came after the Peña fight.
