Gane is 1.41 and Hokit is 3.03.

Gane makes his first defense of the heavyweight title on November 14 at Madison Square Garden in New York, the main event of UFC 334, which the card story books. The fight is five rounds, and heavyweight is 265 pounds (120 kg). Gane is 36 and 14-2, with one no contest, and the UFC lists him at No. 11 pound-for-pound. Hokit is 28 and 10-0, and the UFC lists him at No. 4.

Gane is 76 inches (193 cm) and 247.5 pounds (112 kg), with an 81-inch (206 cm) reach and a 42-inch (107 cm) leg reach, against 73 inches (185 cm), 234.5 pounds (106 kg), a 73.5-inch (187 cm) reach, and a 43-inch (109 cm) leg reach for Hokit.

Gane was a two-time French Muay Thai champion, and he lands 5.40 significant strikes a minute, absorbs 2.31, and defends 61 percent of significant strikes, with 89 percent of what he lands thrown standing, 7 percent in the clinch, and 4 percent on the ground. Gane averages 0.66 takedowns, 0.33 knockdowns, and 0.58 submissions per 15 minutes, and his fights average 13:00.

Hokit was a two-time All-American wrestler and a running back at Fresno State, with 1,700 yards and 17 touchdowns, he wrestled Bo Nickal at the NCAA championships in 2019, and he won a national wrestling title at age six. Hokit spent the 2020 and 2021 seasons on the San Francisco 49ers practice squad, and he lands 9.29 significant strikes a minute, absorbs 5.28, and defends 49 percent of significant strikes, with 63 percent of what he lands thrown standing, 15 percent in the clinch, and 22 percent on the ground. Hokit averages 3.73 takedowns, 1.24 knockdowns, and 0.41 submissions per 15 minutes, defends 78 percent of the takedowns that come at him, and his fights average 7:14.

Gane stopped Alex Pereira with strikes at 1:27 of the second round at UFC Freedom 250 on June 14 and won the interim title. Tom Aspinall vacated the undisputed belt on September 14, after he reinjured the right eye in training and said he did not want to hold the division up, and Gane was promoted. The fight before that was a no contest against Aspinall at 4:35 of the first round at UFC 321 on October 25, 2025, after an accidental eye poke. The two losses on Gane’s record are a guillotine choke by Jon Jones at 2:04 of the first round at UFC 285 on March 4, 2023, and a five-round unanimous decision to Francis Ngannou at UFC 270 on January 22, 2022. Gane stopped Serghei Spivac with strikes at 3:44 of the second round on September 2, 2023, stopped Junior dos Santos with strikes at 2:34 of the second round at UFC 256 on December 12, 2020, stopped Derrick Lewis with strikes at 4:11 of the third round at UFC 265 on August 7, 2021, for an earlier interim title, and knocked out Tai Tuivasa at 4:23 of the third round on September 3, 2022.

Hokit stopped Lewis with strikes at 4:09 of the second round on that same Freedom 250 card. He beat Curtis Blaydes by unanimous decision at 5:00 of the third round at UFC 327 on April 11, stopped Denzel Freeman with strikes at 4:59 of the first round at UFC 324 on January 24, and stopped Max Gimenis with strikes at 0:56 of the first round on November 8, 2025, in his UFC debut. Those four wins are the UFC record. Hokit stopped Guilherme Uriel with strikes at 1:06 of the second round on Dana White’s Contender Series on August 19, 2025, and that bout awarded the contract. He earned Performance of the Night and Fight of the Night against Blaydes, two of four performance bonuses since that contract. Hokit has six knockouts, three submissions, and six first-round finishes, and he has been a pro since October 2023.

Gane defends 47 percent of takedowns, which is enough of the wrestling for the reach to matter. Gane is the pick to win by knockout in the second round.
