Lee defends the lightweight title against Ruotolo

Christian Lee defends the ONE lightweight title against Tye Ruotolo on Friday, November 6, at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok. The fight is the main event of The Inner Circle 37.

Lee is 28 and 18-4, with one no contest, and he stopped Alibeg Rasulov with knees at 2:32 of the second round at ONE 173 on November 16, 2025, in a lightweight title defense. Lee knocked out Shinya Aoki at 0:51 of the second round at ONE: Enter the Dragon on May 17, 2019, won the belt, and was the youngest male MMA world champion in ONE. The welterweight belt had been vacated, so Lee stopped Kiamrian Abbasov at 4:20 of the fourth round at ONE on Prime Video 4 on November 18, 2022, won that belt, and is also the welterweight champion. Seventeen of the 18 wins ended inside the distance, and Lee has the most wins, the most finishes, and the most first-round finishes in ONE.

Ruotolo is 23 and 2-0 in MMA, and he submitted Adrian Lee, Christian’s younger brother, with a rear-naked choke at 4:14 of the second round on September 5, 2025, at ONE Fight Night 35. That was Adrian Lee’s first professional loss, and it paid a $50,000 bonus. Ruotolo submitted Shozo Isojima with a rear-naked choke at 2:26 of the first round at ONE 173, and that win paid the same bonus. Ruotolo is the welterweight submission grappling champion, and he beat Pawel Jaworski by unanimous decision on March 13, 2026, at ONE Fight Night 41, in his last grappling defense. Kade Ruotolo, his twin, is the lightweight submission grappling champion and is unbeaten in MMA. No ONE submission grappling world champion has won an MMA world title, and this is Ruotolo’s third MMA fight.
