Lee says he is getting this one back for his brother
Lee defends the lightweight title against Ruotolo on November 6, and he called a second-round finish by submission. Adrian Lee lost to Ruotolo by rear-naked choke in September 2025.

Christian Lee says he is getting this one back for his brother. He told ONE.
Lee defends the lightweight title against Tye Ruotolo on Friday, November 6, in the main event of The Inner Circle 37 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, which the booking covers. The card streams for members on live.onefc.com, and lightweight is 170 pounds (77 kg).
Lee is 28 and a two-division champion, and Ruotolo is 23 and the welterweight submission grappling champion.
Adrian Lee is Christian’s younger brother, and ONE calls him The Phenom. Adrian welcomed Ruotolo to MMA at ONE Fight Night 35 in September 2025, in that same stadium. Adrian scrambled out of trouble, and Ruotolo took the back late in the second round and finished a rear-naked choke. Adrian took his first professional loss there, and the win paid a $50,000 bonus.
Lee said a small change and Adrian could have won, and that Adrian would beat Ruotolo with the skill he has now. Lee called the match all business. Ruotolo is a very good grappler, Lee said, and the experience Ruotolo has not faced yet still counts.
Kade Ruotolo, Tye’s twin, is the lightweight submission grappling champion and is 4-0 in MMA. Tye Ruotolo is 2-0, and he submitted Shozo Isojima in the first round.
Lee is 18-4, with 17 finishes, and he owns the most wins and the most finishes in ONE. Lee won his only decision on 10 days’ notice, in the lightweight World Grand Prix final in late 2019, and Lee is a six-time ONE MMA world champion and holds a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt.
Lee said Ruotolo has grappled in pure grappling and not in MMA, has never fought five rounds, and has not been in a war, and Lee called that lack of experience the weakness. Lee said he is the better MMA fighter in every area, grappling included, and that the matchup is not striker against grappler.
Lee has had the fight on his mind since the day it was booked. Lee said he will push the pace, meet the scrambles, and look for the finish from the first round through the fifth, and he does not think Ruotolo lasts five rounds. Lee called a second-round finish by submission. Lee’s wins average 5 minutes and 44 seconds, and 11 of those finishes came in the first round.
